Have a pink lemonade day! XO, Chloe Pink

Hey girl! Did you know a great way to sip pink lemonade this summer is with a cool plastic cup and a stripey big straw...Those things, plus also a pink journal and your favorite pencil -- maybe one with a pink feather plume on the end of it..or just lots of sparkles on it. You could be at the pool, in your room or sitting under a tree. You could be with your friend, your dog, your brother Ralph or all by yourself! The important thing is this. You've got a) YOU! b) your secrets & stuff c) a place to express all of your cool thoughts d) a cool drink! What could be cooler than pink lemonade? I rest my case.

What makes a father happy? Could it be a self-confident daughter!

Happy Father's Day, Dad! Tell us what makes you happy to have a daughter(s)? What have you done to help her? How have you contributed to the development of your little girl to be or become a strong, confident woman.

Sharn's Dad has always encouraged her to follow her dreams - as a tennis player in her early childhood (teaching her at the age of 9) and spending endless hours on the court with her all the way through her high school tennis team years. Then, as an cartoonist and female entrepreneur. (He took her to a franchise show when she was 8!) He still acts as her essential sounding board, LISTENING to her talk about her plans for Chloe Pink (that's me) and helping her create plans of action. She wouldn't have nowhere near the tough minded 'tude to keep on following her dreams in spite of the many obstacles without him and the groundwork of fatherly advice and encouragement he's given her all these years. So, in a way I guess you could say, without Sharn's Dad, there might not be a "me." I'm just sayin. You know - A little cartoon girl who encourages girls to follow her dreams. I wonder where I got that idea from? (Hint. Sharn's Dad!) XO, Chloe Pink

Happy Birthday, Kelly. Follow your dreams, girl! XO, Chloe Pink

I am tha-rilled to have had the chance to celebrate a special birthday eve eve with a special friend this past Monday. What a forgiving person, too. One who was not flustered or upset one bit when I dropped her coconut cake (thankfully right side up-but with candles lit nonetheless) on her kitchen floor. Here's a hint. Don't try to Instagram with your iPad in one hand while serving a flaming concoction in the other and sing Happy Birthday at the same time! Actually, her cute little pup Willy didn't mind at all as he licked the creamy coconut frosting off the floor before I could grab a broom. And her daughter, Abby called it a "birthday surprise." See....art--if you can call my cartooning that--truly imitates life. Anyways, this is a tributishy little blog post to my friend and associate who's supported me and Chloe Pink tirelessly for the past few years. (I met her when she brought Abby and Jackson to my first after school art class ever.) Everybody loves Kelly (and Raymond.) And just like all of those other people, I too am thankful to have her in my life. I hope all her wishes come true. Even though she didn't get to wish on most of them as they became extinguished on their way to the floor.

It's going to be hot outside today. Better super-size it! XO, Chloe Pink

(No. I'm not talking about super-sizing your sugary soft drink....of course not.) Let's keep those under 16 oz, shall we? Ever heard of childhood obesity? I'm talking about your dreams, girl. Make them big. Like 24, 36, 48, 60 oz. and beyond gi-nourmously big. Then, just SLURP 'em right up! Yep. Yum. Yum. Yum! Now, that's what Pete and I call healthy dreaming!
